Bite Fish

Small family project

Idea:

Since I started programming "too much", I had an idea of showing my children how I am actually creating something. Came up with idea of hand drawn images and simple game about fish eating strawberries.

Reality:

Kids were bored - 1 hour of work was too much for them to watch letters in code. At least they had fun recording sounds.

Features

• Control fish and avoid being eaten by shark
• Eat strawberries and grow - outgrow the shark and eat him too, to win!
• Hand drawn assets
• Special button to make the fish fart

Lessons Learned

Think about users / players
The fart button and the ability to grow endlessly were two key things that made this "game" more fun for my daughter than it could be without it. She spent 15-20 minutes playing this "game" and enjoying farting and watching the fish grow so much, that only eye was visible.
